Name: Suzy

Describe your hair (thickness, colour, etc.): Thinnish, dark red, very straight
Me:

What do you usually "do" with your hair (styling, etc.)?: Umm... not much! I wash it with the cheap Suave stuff that smells really good (Ocean Breeze and Apple are my favourite scents!) I blow dry it and brush it, but am very bad at styling it and I need help with this!

Do you have any problems/annoyances with your hair?: It frizzes out during the day and refuses to stay in any style I put it in.

Favorite hair care products: Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner

Most valuable thing you've discovered for your hair care routine: Hmm, don't know. I need help caring for my hair- I don't do a good job.

My hair: an introduction [Aug. 19th, 2004|11:51 am]

Name: Elizabeth

Describe your hair (thickness, colour, etc.): I have very fine, soft hair, on the thin side. Its length is about half way down my back; its color, golden brown with a few redish highlights; and it is as strait as a stick.

What do you usually "do" with your hair (styling, etc.)?: After washing my hair at night, I usually braid it while it is still slightly damp, so that it has some "body" the next day. Otherwise, it is very fly-away hair. I either wear it down during the day (parted down the middle, hippy style), or I wear it pulled back with a clip. Nothing fancy.

Do you have any problems/annoyances with your hair?: Hehe, umm, yes. Having thin hair can be very annoying. However, I have yet to hear of a cure. It also tends to be on the oily side, so I like to wash it every night.

Favorite hair care products: I really do not have any at this point... I use the shampoo my family buys (whatever is cheap), and I use conditioner on the ends of my hair. Sometimes I use a vinegar rinse.

Most valuable thing you've discovered for your hair care routine: I have noticed that rinsing my hair with cool or cold water keeps it cleaner feeling for longer.

Name: Heather

Describe your hair (thickness, colour, etc.): My hair is thick, long, medium dark brown, and partly wavy/partly straight. Oh yeah, I forgot! I have natural red highlights in my hair.

What do you usually "do" with your hair (styling, etc.)?: I usually wear it down, but occasionally will wear it in a ponytail if I'm hot, or in a braid for special occasions.

Do you have any problems/annoyances with your hair?: Currently, it gives me headaches because it is so long and thick... I'm really thinking of getting it cut quite short... hopefully it will look good on me... but then I'm going to miss my long hair! :( *sigh* what to do....

Favorite hair care products: I like to use the Infusium 23 (sp? I can't get to the bottle right now.) shampoo on my hair. My hair likes shampoo, but not conditioner these days - conditioner makes it too greasy - so I don't use it that often.

Most valuable thing you've discovered for your hair care routine: I can't really think of anything.

(I posted this in my personal journal by mistake.) :)

Describe your hair (thickness, colour, etc.): My hair is some shade of brown. People who have only seen me in pictures say it's reddish, as do a few who have met me in person; but I'd categorize it more toward the ash range. It's not thin, neither is it terribly thick. It's naturally straight, for the most part, though if I let it be, it dries with some very slight wave. It feels very soft, but I wouldn't call it "fine." A stylist once said I had coarse hair, but I don't think it's coarse either; I'd put it somewhere in between.

What do you usually "do" with your hair (styling, etc.)?: I wet my hair with lukewarm water; shampoo, mostly on the scalp; rinse; use conditioner, but only on the hair below the ears; rinse again, this time with cold water. (Brr!) I let it air dry, for the most part, but when I'm in a hurry, I use a blow dryer, on the cool setting.

Do you have any problems/annoyances with your hair?: I wish it were longer, but I'm working on that. I've always wished to have darker hair, even black. I'd also love to have curly or wavier hair, but I'm not too upset that I don't.

Favorite hair care products: I like V05 "Sheer Hairdressing" anti-frizz creme. It feels really nice.

Most valuable thing you've discovered for your hair care routine: Using cool or cold water and not using the dryer on hot! My hair looks and feels ever so much better this way.
